Designed for partial or complete protection of exposed outdoor areas against wind, rain or snow. Our commercial patio umbrella structures are intended for counteracting low air temperatures during colder seasons as well as mitigation of sunlight’s excessive UV radiation (A & B rays) during summer.

Our large patio umbrella models are available in a range of shapes and sizes. Taking advantage of our rectangular patio umbrella structures or square, hexagonal or even octagonal models for standalone or fully linked applications, offers coverage over any size outdoor space.

Integrated with a choice of either low intensity slimline, totally non-glowing heating panels (latest & most desirable technology for long term commercial operations) or more traditional Halogen style infrared glowing patio heaters , more suitable for domestic applications when shorter daily usage is envisaged.

The entire range of HeatRay patio umbrella models are available with a suite of seasonally reconfigurable modular weather accessories, specifically designed for seemless integration with HeatRay Heated Shade Umbrellas, in order to provide year round protection from the elements.

Built in compliance to the ASCE/SEI-7/2010 Code pertaining to the Minimum Design Loads for Buildings & Other Structures, as specified by the Structural Engineering Institute & American Society of Civil Engineers.

Mortons Steakhouse DC

Washington, DC

Located on an outdoor balcony, Morton's Steakhouse in DC is toasty warm during the cooler months with Heatray Heated Umbrella Systems. A number of umbrellas have been linked together with clear infills down the outdoor area to provide continuous coverage, yet still allow the light to filter through. With incorporated heating and lighting, the outdoor area is kept warm and lit for night operation

Arintji Federation Square

Melbourne, Australia

Arintji Restaurant located in Melbourne's Federation Square, faces exceptionally chilly breezes in winter and extreme heat during summer due to the mass of stonework within the square.

Arintji recently installed 4 x CS40 umbrella systems with IRH-E heating for warmth to counter the chill, Celight lighting for night operation and Celmist cooling for the summer heat, along with weather protection accessories.

The architect required two tone fabric on the umbrella membranes and Celmec provided custom made umbrellas with the topside black to tie in with the glazing colour of the buildings surrounding the square and the underside silver to aid the open feel within the structures.

Times Square, New York City

The Skyroom at Times Square in New York City, offers the city's highest rooftop lounge. Set across two floors of the Sheraton and Suites by Marriott, the lounge boasts views of the Hudson River and Empire State Building.

On the 34th floor deck, Heatray CS40 & CR45 Heated Umbrellas were recently installed to provide weather protection and heating. The system has been designed for frequent collapsibility and installation of window cleaning platforms suspended on multiple davits for high rise window cleaning operations.

The entire Heatray Umbrella system has been custom designed and rated for hurricane category 2 and moderated snow loads. Further, linking gutters joining umbrellas together, have been equipped with heat tracing electric heating systems for snow and ice melting during winter.

La Jolla, San Diego

Eddie V's Restaurants are renowned for their award-winning quality, with numerous locations across the United States. The Eddie V's Seafood Restaurant in La Jolla, San Diego, boasts a spectacular waterfront outdoor dining space that requires weather protection and heating for year-round use.

The solution was HeatRay Heated Umbrella Systems, installed with full weather protection features including clear roof infills—providing rain protection while allowing natural light through—side covers for wind protection, custom-made extended linking gutters, access door sections, and electric radiant heating.

Joule Hotell Dallas

The luxury Joule Hotel in Dallas features a rooftop pool deck on the 10th floor, home to the Joule's funky pool and bar area. The hotel requires a heated area within the rooftop deck to cater for chiller times.

Heatray CR53 Umbrellas with full weather protection accessories and heating were installed to create a water tight, warm area for the rooftop deck. The installed weather protection accessories include: roof infills, side covers, wind columns, linking gutters, perimeter gutters, door sections and Electric Radiant Heaters (ERH).
